R. Robbins Custom Built Commander Size 1911 45 acp

 

This pistol is an R. Robbins Custom built Commander size (4.25 inch barrel length) 1911 45 acp with a black KG Gun Kote baked epoxy finished Fusion Firearms slide featuring a custom grooved slide top.  The slide has a lowered and flared ejection port and a hand fit barrel bushing. The barrel is a factory new Colt Commander barrel. The frame is an RIA frame with black oxide finish and has a full length dust cover (this pistol frame can accommodate a 5 inch slide).  The pistol features a bobbed Commander grip safety, single hole commander hammer, and a checkered 1911 (flat) style main spring housing.  The sights are a tactical style rear night sight with a NOVAK dovetailed front sight. The trigger is a black 3-hole trigger with adjustable stop screw. The grips shown are dark grey carbon fiber with blued grip screws. This pistol has been test fired only since the build.
