Management Whitetail Doe (& Spike) Hunts
Doe hunts are conducted to reduce the herd population of doe deer and to eliminate spike bucks. The number of animals that the TPWD biologists have determined as the correct harvest for the 2009-2010 hunting season will be finalized in October 2009. Guided Management Doe Hunts will be available to select hunters beginning October 2010 and will continue through February 2011 (or until the doe and spike buck harvest is completed). These hunts will require a valid Texas hunting license but will not require the use of the hunter's antlerless deer tag. A MLDP tag will be issued instead of using a hunting license tag. Please use the links below to read the Hunter's Requirements and General Camp Rules. The calendar listing available dates for hunts can be seen by clicking on the Schedule Calendars link.
